At Glint Pro Wash we use the appropriate equipment, pressure levels, and cleaning methods for each surface to ensure your assets are protected. For delicate areas like roofs and painted exteriors, we use soft washing to clean effectively without causing damage.
Pressure washing utilizes highly pressurized water to strip away tough grime, mold, and dirt from hard, durable surfaces like concrete driveways, brickwork, and pathways. Soft washing, on the other hand, relies on specialized, eco-friendly cleaning solutions applied at low pressure (similar to a garden hose). This safely eliminates organic growth like algae, moss, and lichen at the root without risking structural damage to delicate areas like roofs, siding, and painted surfaces.
No, because we prioritize property protection. While our specialized cleaning treatments are highly effective against algae and mold, our team takes precise preventative measures. We thoroughly pre-wet all surrounding landscaping, rinse the vegetation during and after the process, and manage runoff to ensure your plants, grass, and pets remain completely safe.
Absolutely. In fact, major paint and coating manufacturers explicitly require the substrate to be professionally cleaned and treated before application, or their product warranties may be voided. Applying a fresh coat over microscopic moss spores, dirt, or oils traps the contamination, preventing proper adhesion and causing the new paint or waterproofing layer to peel and fail prematurely.
A standard pressure wash using water alone generally keeps a surface clean for about 6 to 12 months before moss and algae spores begin to regrow. However, because our soft washing treatments utilize premium, targeted biocides that kill organic growth at the root, your roof and exterior surfaces will typically remain clear of noticeable regrowth for 3 to 5 years.
When paving joints are pressure washed to remove weeds and dirt, the jointing sand between the pavers is naturally displaced. Leaving these gaps empty compromises the structural integrity of your paving, causing bricks to shift, sink, or become uneven over time. Re-sanding involves sweeping specialized kiln-dried sand back into the joints to lock the pavers in place, stabilize the driveway, and deter future weed and ant infestation.
You do not necessarily need to be home while we work, provided we have clear access to the property and an outdoor water supply. To prepare for our arrival, we kindly ask that you ensure all windows and doors are tightly shut, clear the driveway or deck of vehicles, outdoor furniture, and planters, and keep any pets safely indoors during the service.
